This project was done with the intent to create a cheaper alternative for a forklift for raising and lowering pallets. We created a 3-D printed prototype as a proof-of-concept. Our analysis shows that the full-sized product would be able to lift a pallet with 3000 lbs of load with a large factor of safety. My role was as the CAD designer and sourcing materials for production. This project also went into very thorough analysis of linkages and the mechanics of movement.
